Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as welcoming visitors to preparing the church bulletins. If you want to serve, there are plenty of opportunities at Trinity UMC.

How Do I Meet People?

Our church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at this church.

Sunday School

Sunday School classes are not presently meeting.
Each Sunday morning children and adults get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction. The youth ministry of our church is recognized for their meaningful interaction with kids.  One adult class that meets for study.  The class has studies based on scripture, study books and bible lessons.

Coffee and Desserts

Each Sunday morning different people volunteer to make the coffee and/or bring desserts to share in the Alpha Room following each service.  Sign-up sheets can be found on the tables in the back of the sanctuary.
We are presently not doing coffee hour.  It will resume in the fall.

SPPRC

SPPRC stands for Staff-Pastor-Parish Relations Committee. This committee works with the Pastor and the congregation to build strong relationships between the staff and the congregation, and between the congregation and the district superintendent.  This committee functions both in leadership and management.

Care Team Committee

This vibrant committee strives to meet many needs within the Trinity family.  If you have questions about this committee or want to be a part of the Care Committee please contact Kathy Piper at the church office at (716) 372-5067.

Trinity Trustees

Trinity Trustees maintain our beautiful church buildings and grounds.

Ushers

The usher team at our church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-heart group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Welcoming Committee

Trinity UMC strives to make all visitors feel welcome.  Whether people are looking for a church to call home or just in town visiting for the weekend, the Welcoming Committee wants them to feel comfortable and welcomed here at Trinity.
